Seduction In Blood

Part 3

"Duo, I have to close the library." The American turned from his book at the soft voice. The woman's name was Janice. She had been working part time at the library to help pay her college tuition. She also shared quite a few classes with the braided boy.

"Okay. Is it too late to take this one?" He asked and handed over the book he was reading.

"No. Gather your things, and I'll check it out for you." Duo picked up his book bag and stretched. It had been a long day, especially without Trowa. He wasn't looking forward to going home to an empty apartment either. Last night had been tough enough. "Where's your other half?" Janice asked as he stepped to the desk to reclaim his book.

"Trowa's in Egypt. He finally landed a spot on Wiggims' crew." Janice smiled and shook her head as she stamped the due date on his book.

"When's he coming back?"

"Six months." Duo's voice came out a bit more whiny than he would have liked.

"Poor boy. What are you going to do with all that spare time?" She wondered and handed him his book.

"I'll think of something. . .I always do."

"Good night Duo."

"Later." As he stepped out of the library, he was welcomed by rain that hadn't shown itself before he entered the building. Wishing he had brought a coat, he walked toward the parking lot where his car was waiting. He passed a man that was standing at a bus stop, but didn't give a second thought to him.

"Hey mister, you got the time?" The man called, and Duo stopped to turn to him.

"It's about ten, that's when the library closes." A smile pulled at the man's lips.

"Thanks." Duo nodded, and turned back around. At that instant, he felt something ram against his stomach, knocking the breath from him. It was then that he heard the rapidly approaching foot steps from behind. A second later, a strong pair of arms wrapped around his waist and began dragging him to a nearby ally.

Once he gained full composure, he broke free of the man. He spun around quickly, slamming his fist into the man's jaw. When he turned toward the second, the same thing that had hit him the first time, landed against his temple. The blow caused a wave of lightheadedness that toppled him to the ground as a stream of blood rolled down the side of his face. Before he could recover, the first man was holding a gun to his jaw.

"One wrong move bastard, and I'll blow your fucking head off." The man growled and Duo remained still. Seeing that they were now in control, the second man worked on searching his pockets for valuables. The American watched in silence as his wallet was placed in the stranger's pocket.

The aroma was stronger here. He tried to turn to go the opposite direction, but the yearning was near unbeatable. The young boys he had before wasn't enough. That only fully revived him. He needed more to remain alive. He had tried to starve himself before, but it didn't work. Without the liquid of life, he became weak. . .and by becoming weak, he lost control. If he lost control again, he would just claim more lives. He stood on the roof of the library looking down at the two men attacking the boy. He knew he couldn't stand by and let them kill him.

"Is that all you got?" The man barked as he counted out the money in Duo's wallet. The victim remained silent. "Maybe we can get more out of you in other ways." With that, he parted Duo's legs and kneeled between them. The strange hand rubbed his limp manhood through his pants, and everything started to blur. He knew he was slipping in and out of full consciousness; for one moment, he could feel the enlarged erection brutally pounding into his body, and the next he felt nothing.

"Who the hell are you?" He heard one of the men asked, and he realized that the brutal attack had been stopped. He came to again when he heard a man scream. He managed to slowly open his eyes to find a Chinese boy hovering over him. There was something strange about the coal eyes over him. He thought for sure he could feel someone sucking on his temple, but the next instant he felt nothing.

"Oh my God! Duo!" He recognized the voice as Janice. "Duo, can you hear me?" It was the last thing he heard before everything turned black. Janice wasted no time in pulling out a cell phone and dialing 911. The coal eyes stared at the two on the steps of the library. Once he had knocked out the attacking men, he had carried Duo there, knowing that he would be found more easily.

He didn't mean to have taken so much blood from the boy. . .but for some reason, the American's blood was much sweeter than that of the other boys. For that reason alone, he had a hard time stopping himself from drinking every last drop. Not only did he find the blood refreshing, but the beauty of the boy caught his eyes. When he had seen the purple eyes, he had felt his heart stop for a moment. It had been a long time since anyone caused that sort of reaction for him. Turning from the innocent, he wiped the blood from his lip and reminded himself why he must never fall to that again. He would not lose another. . .but perhaps this boy could be the one he was looking for. . .

Duo, slowly opened his eyes to find himself staring into the face of Prof. Shawl. He looked around the room to discover that he was in a hospital. He tried to sit up, but found that he was too weak to do so.

"You should relax Duo." The professor suggested.

"What happened?"

"You don't remember?" Duo thought hard, but his head began throbbing.

"Not really."

"Well, do you remember being at the library?" The American nodded slowly as that came back to him. "Do you remember being attacked?"

"No." He answered after a short pause of trying to recollect. "I was?"

"Yes. . .but the men that were suspected of attacking you were found dead in a alleyway. All their blood drained from their bodies."

"Like the boys?" The teacher nodded.

"What was more baffling was that when you arrived here, they discovered that you were missing three liters of blood." Duo stared at her a moment before checking his body for a slash, or serious injury. It was then that he noticed the tube in his arm that was slowly reintroducing blood into his vein. "You have no external wounds Duo. . .but you have received a severe blow to your head. The doctors can't understand why you don't have a mark from the attack."

"Do you think the urban legend is true?" The student couldn't help but ask as he looked up at the older woman.

"It's possible."

"Then why didn't he kill me?"

"I was hoping you could answer that. . .you don't remember seeing anything? Anyone?" He tried to remember again. . .this time something came to him.

"I remember seeing a pair of strange black eyes."
